We offer AITT accredited counterbalance, reach, pivot steer & Powered pallet truck courses at our training centre. If any experienced instructor is honest they will agree a training centre is the best environment for basic training. That's why we invest to provide the best equipment and environment to our customers
For the trucks/training we are unable to offer at our training centre we will bring our decades of experience to your site. This include counterbalance, reach, pivot steer / bendi, powered pallet truck, pedestrian stacker, side loader, order picker, tow tractor, telescopic, rough terrain, multi directional forklifts, lorry loader, shunter, vehicle mounted / moffet, stock picker and scissor / articulated MEWPs.
Just some areas across South Wales we offer on site training - Merthyr, Tredegar, Brynmawr, Ebbw vale, Pontypool, Cwmbran, Newport, Ystrad Mynach, Caerphilly, Cardiff. Blackwood, Pontypridd, Treforest and any where in between
The duration of our courses depend on the truck types, candidates experience, candidates previous training and number of candidates on the course
Powered pallet truck and MEWP training is 1 day, lorry loader and tow tugs are usually 1 - 2 days order pickers and pedestrian stackers up to 3 days, narrow aisle trucks up to 4 days, counterbalance. reach. pivot steer and most other trucks up to 5 days.
Candidates with sufficient experience can usually reduce the course length by 1 - 2 days
Candidates who have previous training and passed basic skills tests can attend refresher training on the truck types they have passed previously
Conversion training - Candidates who have previous training on one truck type can attend a conversion course on another type. This is usually 1 day shorter than experienced courses
We can take a maximum of 3 candidates on most trucks, 4 candidates on MEWP courses and 5 candidates on powered pallet truck courses. The more candidates on the course (up to the maximum recommend by HSE and AITT) the longer the duration. The less candidates on the course the shorter the duration.
Instructor training is either 5 days (re-registration) or 10 days (novice).
